Focus on: Operations Account Manager


Operational Account Management is at the heart of Dalkia's business and the Account Manager will typically have the capability to manage a combination of Energy, Utilities & Integrated FM (both hard and soft) services and will usually specialise in one or more of these disciplines, typically a "hard" service, along with strong customer service expertise.

What the role involves

This is a team leader role and the Operations Account Manager is expected to manage a number of contracts.

He or she will manage staff and sub-contractors under the following criteria:

  • Health and Safety Adherence to all relevant legislation
  • Service Level Agreements/KPI's
  • Adherence to Budget
  • Day to day operations
  • Performance Management of direct reports


The following is a list of some of the key skills that would be required in the role:

  • qualifications in energy/utilities/maintenance management or proven practical experience in a similar role;
  • excellent organisational and administration skills;
  • health and safety management;
  • communications skills;
  • people management skills and customer focus.

    The natural career progression from this role would be to take on a Contract Manager or Client Operations Manager role with responsibility for a single large contract or to direct a number of FM's for a portfolio of clients.
