There are a large number of technicians working in Dalkia covering both day and shift positions. The technician will typically be based on a client site delivering a maintenance service for utilities or building services.
What the role involves
All our technicians are qualified to work in a computerised maintenance management work order system and work with production to maintain and operate equipment, carrying out preventative maintenance programmes on a wide range of plant and equipment.
Many of our clients operate Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and our technicians will be expected to work with engineering systems based on this discipline.
The following is a list of key skills required for this role:
- Trade certificate, normally National Trade Cert, City and Guilds or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical;
- Good working knowledge of preventative maintenance programmes for a wide range of plant equipment,
- Experience of working with pumps, HVAC systems, compressors, boilers, steam systems and ancillary services, chillers, cooling towers, clean steam boilers, purified water systems and electrical systems.
On-going training is provided to ensure that our technicians are kept up to date with all developments in technology and maintenance systems, as well as Heath & Safety.
